Opportunities for enterprises and research institutes

We help you to access ongoing EU projects. You can participate in the following ways:

  • In the Open Market Consultations, various stakeholders are invited to identify the latest state of the art together with the consortium. Their findings are included in the later calls for tender announced within the public procurement projects. To this purpose, each project organises several events throughout Europe. 
  • Tenders are published within PCP and PPI projects for the:
    • Provision of R&D services in the PCP project
    • Delivery of innovative products and services in the PPI project

Project AI4Cities

The project is looking for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in the fields of mobility and energy to accelerate carbon neutrality. These should help the cities being part of the project to reach their climate targets.

Current call for networking and preparation of procurement projects

Project iProcureSecurity

The CSA project aims to bring together actors from procurement, science and practice on the topic of emergency services and medical care. By the end of 2020, possibilities for cooperation and common standards throughout Europe should be explored.

Interested procurers, companies and research institutes are invited to participate in the following activities in order to explore the state of the art for innovative products or solutions and to prepare follow-up projects:

  • Online workshop on 06.08.2020 at 15:00
  • Answering a survey aimed at providers of innovative solutions

The aim of the project is to prepare joint procurement projects (PCP projects) that can be funded under the EU Horizon 2020 programme Secure Societies. For this purpose, further procurers are sought.

The project is an initiative of the European Emergency Medical Services Systems (EMSS) association. Its 39 members (emergency medical services) from 12 European countries are active in networking activities and other joint projects. Current calls for research proposals

PRACE support to mitigate impact of COVID-19 pandemic

PRACE is welcoming project proposals requesting computing resources to contribute to the mitigation of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This applies, without being exhaustive, to the following topics:

  • Biomolecular research to understand the mechanisms of the virus infection
  • Bioinformatics research to understand mutations, evolution, etc.
  • Bio-simulations to develop therapeutics and/or vaccines
  • Epidemiologic analysis to understand and forecast the spread of the disease
  • Other analyses to understand and mitigate the impact of the pandemic

This call is open until further notice. Applications are evaluated within one week and start as soon as possible if awarded.

In order to fight the Corona virus, PRACE partners, HPC centres, and research infrastructures are doing their bit by opening up their facilities for urgent/priority access to the HPC systems and other resources to support the research to combat the coronavirus. The initiatives are listed online.

Projects offering information

Project LEA

The LEA project aims to speed up awareness and transfer of knowledge on the benefits and tools of innovation procurement to European organisations interested in digital learning technology.

The project is now launching an interest group on Innovation Procurement for Universities. Participation in this interest group allows procurers to connect, exchange and learn from other procurers from universities across Europe. A brochure summarises showcase reports and guidelines on innovation procurement of learning technology most relevant for universities.

In addition, online seminars are available that highlight what lessons can be learned from the Corona crisis with regard to procurement and how new learning technologies can be purchased effectively.

Moreover, the consortium is looking for public sector representatives interested in innovation procurement or procurement for education departments. Procurers and other stakeholders are invited to sign-up as LEA followers.

Project HSMonitor

The aim of the PCP project is to develop innovative ICT-enabled monitoring solutions to improve health status and optimise hypertension care. The project addresses the need for more effective management by empowering patients and the healthcare professionals involved in their care.

European Blockchain Pre-Commercial Procurement

The European Commission is going to prepare an European Blockchain Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP). The PCP is looking for novel blockchain solutions for the European Blockchain Service Infrastructure.

The aim of the THALEA project is to improve the treatment of patients with a life-threatening condition through telemedicine and telemonitoring systems for intensive care units. The THALEA II consortium is conducting a market consultation in the form of a web-based survey to prepare the tender procedure. Companies are invited to share their experiences with telemonitoring and telemedicine systems as well as current and future developments.
